Day 1 Arrival in Tbilisi and Transfer to Hotel ▾

Day 2 Full-Day Tbilisi Sightseeing ▾
Breakfast, then a city tour. Lunch included mid-day.; Metekhi Church, sulfur baths, fortress above the Mtkvari valley; Narikala Fortress (optional cable car), Church of the Nativity; Meidan (Baitan) Square, Silk Road era market; Jan Shardeni Street; Synagogue, Sioni Church, Anchiskhati; Treasury of the National Museum of Georgia; Holy Trinity Cathedral
Day 3 Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Gudauri – Stepantsminda – Tbilisi ▾
Full-day drive along the Georgian Military Road.; Mtskheta: Jvari Monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), both UNESCO; Ananuri complex with Jinvali Reservoir views; Mountain river confluence; lunch break; Gudauri Friendship Monument (Panorama), 600 m cliff; Stepantsminda (Kazbegi); 4x4 to Gergeti Trinity Church (2,170 m); Mount Kazbek (5,047 m)
Day 4 Tbilisi – Borjomi – Rabati Castle – Vardzia ▾
Breakfast, then southwest Georgia.; Borjomi, mineral water tasting in Borjomi Park; Rabati Castle, Akhaltsikhe (13th-century fortress); Evening arrival in Vardzia; overnight in Vardzia or Akhaltsikhe
Day 5 Vardzia Cave Town – Khertvisi – Tbilisi ▾
Cave monastery complex and return to Tbilisi.; Vardzia cave town (12th century); Vardzia–Khertvisi valley petroglyphs; Optional Vanis Kvabebi (7th-century monastery; steep ~2 km walk, on request); Return to Tbilisi; overnight in Tbilisi
