Day 2 Full-Day Sightseeing Tour of Tbilisi ▾
Breakfast, then old-city sites, lunch, free time. Overnight in Tbilisi.; Metekhi Church; Sulfur baths with brick domes; Narikala Fortress (on foot or cable car); Church of the Nativity at the foot of the fortress; Meidan (Baitan) Square, former Silk Road market; Jan Shardeni Street; Synagogue, Sioni Church, Anchiskhati; Treasury of the National Museum of Georgia; Holy Trinity Church (Sameba)
Day 3 Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Gudauri – Stepantsminda – Tbilisi ▾
Full-day drive along the Georgian Military Road; lunch; return to Tbilisi.; Jvari Monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), both UNESCO; Ananuri complex with Zhinvali Reservoir views; Mountain river confluence; Gudauri Friendship Monument (Panorama), 600 m cliff; Kazbegi (Stepantsminda); 4x4 to Gergeti Trinity Church (2,170 m); Mount Kazbek (5,047 m) weather permitting
Day 4 Tbilisi – Borjomi – Rabati Castle – Vardzia ▾
Breakfast, then Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe, and on to Vardzia. Overnight in Vardzia or Akhaltsikhe.; Borjomi resort town; mineral water tasting in Borjomi Park; Rabati Castle, Akhaltsikhe (13th-century roots)
Day 5 Vardzia Cave Town – Khertvisi – Tbilisi ▾
Explore Vardzia, return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.; Vardzia cave town (12th century); Vardzia–Khertvisi valley petroglyphs; Optional Vanis Kvabebi monastery (7th century; steep ~2 km walk, on request)
Day 6 Departure, Transfer to Airport ▾
Breakfast, check out, airport transfer.
